Packing Light
What to pack? What will I need? And how to fit it all into a suitcase? Packing is somewhat of a chore for most people, and the restrictions on the liquids you are allowed to take in your carry-on bag during airtravel have not made it easier.
Heather Poole, a flight attendant from Los Angeles and avid travel writer on her own blog, has shared her most important tips on packing with the New York Times.
- Tightly roll everything
- Heavy items first, light items last
This way, apparently, you can pack much more into a bag, and travel for 10 days only with your carry-on bag. I have yet to try it, but it looks like a good way to keep all those good-looking clothes that you will need to measure up with the Roman fashionistas in acceptable condition.
